It’s time to send in your 2024 Membership Contribution!

Yes, it’s that time of year…Please send in your 2024 membership donation!  We are calling on all members to renew their commitment early in 2024 in preparation for the survey/treatment season. Our donating membership was down to 146 in 2023 over our high mark of 171 in ’22. so it’s time to reach out to renew your support AND engage your neighbors to sign up and contribute.

The Board expects the 2024 budget to be somewhere over $35,000. Donating members contributed less than $20,000 in 2023. BMLA has been heavily dependent on receiving grants to effectively address the AIS challenges on Big Marine. Unfortunately grant funds have become harder to get and awards have grown smaller……while the invasive challenge grows.  Going forward the burden to keep Big Marine free of EWM and other invasives seems to be falling more heavily on Association members.
